From Alton/Winchester

The Trooper is situated on what is known locally as Alton Road (but not A272).  From A32 (look for a staggered crossroads with a layby each side) take the turning signposted Froxfield and Steep and you will find The Trooper, after approximately 1.5 miles, on the left hand side in a big dip in the road.

From London/Portsmouth

From the A3, take the turning to Petersfield at the junction with the A272 to Winchester, and head into the edge of the town, where you will come to a roundabout. Take the first exit left from this roundabout (Bell Hill) and continue up the hill for 3.1 miles, staying on the same road (at the top of the hill DO NOT take the left turn signposted to Froxfield. Stay on the main road for another 200 yards, where you will find the Trooper on your right).
